Primitive Object Naming Convention

The new primitive object set added to Alphaworld in November of 2006 can be a bit confusing at first glance, but it is actually a very organized well thought out system. For the entire list of object names, see the Primitive's List.

Primitive Prefix
The primitive prefix p is present on every primitive object. This part never changes.
UV Mapping Modifier
Modifies the the way the object accepts a texture.
Possible values: [1], [2]

- Available for all object types.
- Applies a 1m x 1m texture map.
2
- Only available for Cubes [cube], Prisms [pri] and Pyramids [pyr].
- Applies a single, non-tiled texture for each face.
Object Type Name
Specifies the type of primitive.
Possible values: [cone], [cube], [cyl], [hcyl], [hsph], [iqc], [pri], [pyr], [qcyl], [rec], [sph], [tor]
cone: Cone
cube: Cube
cyl: Cylinder
hcyl: Half Cylinder
hsph: Half Sphere
iqc: Inverted Quarter Cylinder
pri: Prism
pyr: Pyramid
qcyl: Quarter Cylinder
rec: Rectangular Cuboid
sph: Sphere
tor: Torus
Primary Dimension Modifier
Specifies the object type's diameter.
Possible values: [0005], [0025], [0050], [0100], [0200], [0400], [0500], [0800], [1000]
0005: 0.05m
0025: 0.25m
0050: 0.5m
0100: 1m
0200: 2m
0400: 4m
0500: 5m
0800: 8m
1000: 10m
Secondary Dimension Modifier
Specifies the length or height of certain object types.
Possible values: [a], [b], [c], [d], [e], [f], [g], [h], [i]
cone: [a], [b], [c], [d]
cyl: [a], [b], [c], [d], [e], [f], [g], [h], [i]
hcyl: [a], [b], [c], [d], [e], [f]
pri: [a], [b]
pyr: [a], [b]
rec: [a], [b], [c], [d], [e], [f], [g]
cube, hsph, iqc, qcyl, sph and tor do not require this modifier.
