General News Update
Posted Monday, May 13, 2002 by Comit
It seems that GZ betterment fever has swept through the town. On top of SW City's main GZ being overhauled, Saddle Creek and Silver Valley are also doing complete make overs. Silver Valley's GZ remains in the same location, while Saddle Creek moved to a more central location of the sub-community.
In other news, the city census has been updated. Minus the mighty Estates District and Ridge District, who have yet to merge their citizen registry with the citywide census, the city's census is 105. Estimated total is 155 when including the other districts.
As a side project to the SW City GZ overhaul, Syntax expanded his monorail network to include the rest of the city, and is quickly making it's way through town everyday.
And last, but certainly not least, the AW mapper, formally known as Vevo, updated it's satellite pictures. Here's a pic of SW City and it's waterways. http://mapper.activeworlds.com/cgi-bin/map/map-aw/c6/aw64-03456+00000.html?302,442
Town Square and Flint! Back in Action.

I am glad to inform you that SW City Town Square (SWGZ) has been totally revamped. This change to GZ is the first major change to the area in the history of SW City. All the previous updates to GZ were small additions and fixes. The new GZ will provide visitors with all the information they need to get the most out of SW City, which brings me to our next topic.
Flint, the city's official bot, is now online at Town Square 24/7 thanks to SW Chris. The town bot will give visitors the feeling that the town is active all the time (which it is) and will not feel lonely anymore. Drop by Town Square sometime to check out the changes and say hi to Flint. ;-P
To teleport, use the "Teleport to.." button on the sidebar or use the Quickport.
Virus Warning
Posted Monday, May 6, 2002 by Mike
Hmm...my dad got this email pertaining to a virus. Apparently it resides in an executable file in the C:\Windows\Command folder named "sulfnbk.exe" It waits 2 weeks and then supposedly damages your hard drive quite bad (rendering it almost useless I guess). I found the file on my comp, and its spread via email (fortunately I don't have many people on it). I looked at the icon and it looked like it was made in 3 minutes in paintbrush...not one of microsoft's common icons I guess. I haven't seen any warning on Symantec YET...so don't blame me if you delete the file and find out its some ciritcal file that will break your install of windows :P
EDIT by Comit: I did some research and confirmed it's a hoax warning. Go to Symantec website for details if you want. The file is used by Windows.
