After 2 weeks of delays, Cy voting is finally online! Even better, SW City related pre-nominations made it past the Cy nomination filters into a couple of categories!
-SW City for Community Development in Architecture/Urban Planning/Design.
-3rd Birthday Bash for Community Initiative in Community Groups/Activities and Events.
-SW City for Community Initiative for a Community or Town!
-Mango Land for Creative Vision & Application Environment Design in a Public Building World.

Construction Updates

- Avatar Subway station nearly complete.
- Town Square has gotten some much needed attention. Lots of small buildings have sprouted up or been revamped. Been a lot of landscaping too (>_< @ the bill from the nursery).
- CSWC Monorail loop completed! Two stations await construction though.
- Nut Highway is creeping it's way through town. It's made it's way through Silver Valley and James River and is now working with the Central SW City board to work it's way towards Syntax Estates.
New Newspaper in SW City!

Flint on the loose!

Flint is back and is on the loose in the forums! The city's Town Square birde is causing all sorts of havoc in the forums. (Side note: hehe, thx 't0r)
Flint is also being hosted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at SW City Town Square as of this week also, so drop by and have a little conversation with the most...original *ahem* bot in Active Worlds.

CY Awards Pre-voting Party Rescheduled!

Due to the CY awards voting being delayed one more week, the voting party has been rescheduled for the day the voting opens, Saturday, August 24th.
SW City's CY Awards Pre-Voting Celebration begins at 10pm VRT on Saturday August 24th at SW City GZ! Bring your friends as we gather to support our city for this year's run in the CY Awards 2002! Refreshments will be provided and you can dance the night away with Music by Flint! 2217.4s 3609.8e 180, be there! :)

Build Raising

Well the build raising went great! I should have posted this sooner, but there's a lull period here at work and well... *grins sheepishly*
We had a ton of people come out to it, and about half took part in the building. We all decided to build a biodome, with five different biomes in it: A grassland, a wetland, a jungle, a high altitude alpine area, and a desert.
We also put in lots of educational things like info signs and hands on activities. This would be a cool thing to show the kids. :)

Due to popular demand, Orton Strip Mall is expanding. Today, 4 new shops were built: Kong Burger, Pop Shop, Chris Cat's computer shop (no name yet), and last but not least, and you may of heard of this legendary store before...another Shack Shop! Also CMM and Syntax secretly furnished the back alley dark bar about a week ago =P

Hey all, just here to inform you of some of the big changes that the website went under today.
-Bots section removed from navbar, later to be integrated into District sites.
-New navbar, side images and top banner image.
-3 new sections. Downloads, Fun & Games and Newsletter.
-SW City Forum link in the navbar.
-Government section added to the About page.
-Transportation maps added to maps page.
-News archive link added on main site.
