Rubicon River started
Posted Wednesday, October 30, 2002 by Comit
As part of the Planetary River Network (I think that's what it was called, lol), Rubicon River, the second river of this project with Vishara's River being first, has begun to make its way throughout AW. It's primary route will be east and probably stopping around 8000e, and might make its way down to Horizon City.

There are no plans to end this river into a water body, like Vishara's did, and will be added to as time goes on.

UPDATE: The river is being renamed. Click here to vote for the new name: Vote

Eastern Expansion complete
Posted Tuesday, October 29, 2002 by Comit
Finally, after a couple months, we finished the huge eastern ocean expansion ^_^! The expansion will be used to host the "Island Kingdoms" as well as Espilae's viceroy (and maybe suburb someday O_O). Here's an educated guess as to what the expansion might look like:

Thank you Syntax and Vornox for helping me complete this massive project.

UPDATE: The river going from the expansion to Cougar Lake in the north is complete. It's been named Skexis River =) It's nearly 600 coords long.

SW Forum back online!
Posted Thursday, October 24, 2002 by syntax
As Chris stated, the server was down for a while. But now it's back up, with a whole new forum!

Our SW City Forum has been upgraded to YaBBSE, an excellent piece of software which includes the option to create polls and stuff. There is even a calendar! (yay)

So check it out, the forum is back online @ http://forum.swcity.net. Thanks for being so patient!

You may have noticed...
Posted Thursday, October 24, 2002 by Chris
...that we have disappeared from the face of the planet for the last few days. Our forum was slowing the server down so my host had to yank us until we could upgrade to a less... ubiquitous resource-hogging forum. All the messages are still there, and Syntax is working hard to get the bugs and kinked worked out. You may want to wait a day or two before you start posting, but at least the website is active now. :)

Cheers, and apologies,
Chris

Newspaper News!

SW City Times has released it's October issue of the SW City times! Cypris Creek Governor, Vornox, has also started a newspaper named the Cypris Creek News. If you would like to put a Cypris Creek News newsstand in your areas in AW, visit the Newspaper section of the website for it's code. :)

Tripod hits SW City
Posted Tuesday, October 1, 2002 by Comit
Chris recently discovered that tripod, host of some of SW City's pictures and sounds, deleted 8 megs of information in the web space. This is because we were 8 megs over the limit, because it use to be 50 megs, but they lowered it to 20 megs when we were at 28 megs. The account was the sw_city.tripod.com/... one. So if you find any broken pictures or sounds, let us know so we can replace them.
