In what might as well be AW 4.2, build 973 was publically released just a few hours ago. This version is “the special effects” build, including graphical additions such as environment mapping (glossy surfaces), bump mapping, shadows, sub-rendered surfaces (projecting a camera feed on an object, aka poor-man’s reflective surfaces), dual texturing, and support for .x file formats intended for next-gen avatars.
See the AWiki for details.
AWE2 is finally now available. AWE2 features much higher res commonly used textures, improved objects, and a realistic skybox. See details here.
Robbie recently launched his new versatile text-to-image sign generator, and generously made it publically available. We now have the script uploaded to www.swcity.net/sign/. See Robbie’s instructions here. See an in-world example here, or see a screenshot here…and see here for a list of available fonts on our domain. Phew!
