SW CITY’S BRAND NEW SITE TO BE RELEASED
I would just like to announce that the old SW City site you are seeing will be completely gone in the next few days. I have totally redesigned the site so it is way more organized and easy to navigate. It looks really good too. So, just thought I’d tell you the news and to look for the new site to be online in the next couple days. You will notice most of the website is down since I have started cleaning out the directory to make room for new files. 🙂
SW City Builders Academy Online is now….online!
The newest additions to the SW City website is a full fledged Advanced Builders course for AW! The SW City Builders Academy Online features such classes as Masking, Cell Space Conservation and the tricky Astart Astop Actions. The Online Academy can be found at http://academy.swcity.net. Please note that one page (Action Commands) has not been completed due to it having a ton of content. Look for it up in the next few days though. Oh, also with this Builders Academy thing, SW City has teamed up with AW University to bring back the old Advanced Building classes. These classes have not been in operation since 1999 so we are glad to be reviving them with new and improved information and teaching methods. Look for the SW City Builders Academy in AWUniv world to be completed within the next month or so. 🙂
SW City Wins Big at the Cy Awards and New Websites Soon!
Woooo Hoooo!! At this year’s annual Cy Awards, SW City scored big with two Cy’s! The first Cy went to SW Chris for his rendition of Hyrule. The award was Best Environmental Design along with OneSummer for Summerland Estates. The second award went to me (Syntax) for this website! It won best website along with Andras for andras.net. Also in the news, a new series of building tutorials will be coming to this website. The websites will be under a whole new category called “The SW City Builders Academy Online” as it is an online version of the SW City Builders Academy. (except more in-depth.) Expect to see that online in a day or two as I already have half of it finished. Oh, and I also want to give a shout out to our friend Nornny for winning a Cy award for his Newsgroup Survivor game. Woo hoo Nornny!
Big ol’ Drastic Update
Yes, you probably already noticed that the Navigation bar has changed. That is because I morphed it from 20 small pictures to one big picture then implemented the links using an imagemap which drastically cut down load time for each page. I also went through MOST of the pages on the site and cleaned up my HTML a bit. There was a lot of stuff left over from previous updates that no longer needed to be there. Please, if you find any mistakes on the site, E-Mail me about them and I will fix them as soon as possible. yawns So late..
