In a holiday promotional act for AW 5.0, AWI has just renewed all citizens across the board and sent out a mass email to the userbase, free to use AW until January 2nd. Got an old, expired friend? Be sure to let them know!
Alphaworld Building Disabled ’till 5.0
Alphaworld and the rest of the AWI public building worlds had building disabled in preparation for the release of Activeworlds 5.0, which will hopefully meet its release date of December 1st. If you are a regular Alphaworld’ian, there’s still a lot to do like playing SW City Interactive, editing and taking pictures for the SWiki or admiring the new forum updates!

Byte Releases MipBot v0.3
Byte spent the night working on a bot that mips unmipped images: MipBot v.0.3! If you have any mass-mipping to do, be sure to use his handy new bot. The bot details and download link can be found in the release thread.

AWE 2.3.094 Released
A new version of Alphaworld Enhanced has been released, sporting a texture overhaul for Alphaworld’s official skybox.
Also included is a slightly less neon-green terrain texture, better night time stars, and a new sun corona texture which won’t appear to have hard edges. Download here.
