SW Forum back online!

As Chris stated, the server was down for a while. But now it’s back up, with a whole new forum!

Our SW City Forum has been upgraded to YaBBSE, an excellent piece of software which includes the option to create polls and stuff. There is even a calendar! (yay)

So check it out, the forum is back online @ http://forum.swcity.net. Thanks for being so patient!

You may have noticed…

…that we have disappeared from the face of the planet for the last few days. Our forum was slowing the server down so my host had to yank us until we could upgrade to a less… ubiquitous resource-hogging forum. All the messages are still there, and Syntax is working hard to get the bugs and kinked worked out. You may want to wait a day or two before you start posting, but at least the website is active now. 🙂

Cheers, and apologies,
Chris

Newspaper News!

SW City Times has released it’s October issue of the SW City times! Cypris Creek Governor, Vornox, has also started a newspaper named the Cypris Creek News. If you would like to put a Cypris Creek News newsstand in your areas in AW, visit the Newspaper section of the website for it’s code. 🙂

Tripod hits SW City

Chris recently discovered that tripod, host of some of SW City’s pictures and sounds, deleted 8 megs of information in the web space. This is because we were 8 megs over the limit, because it use to be 50 megs, but they lowered it to 20 megs when we were at 28 megs. The account was the sw_city.tripod.com/… one. So if you find any broken pictures or sounds, let us know so we can replace them.

SW City joins Folding@Home

Folding@Home is a science project started by Stanford University some time ago. It’s been madly popular over the net and I was wondering what all the fuss was about. So what is folding? Bah, just go here: http://folding.stanford.edu =P

Read what what is, and if your interested, download the client software and join Scarabian Republic’s team, team number 11309.

I think I’m a Clone, Now

Yeah, I messed it up, not TowerHost. It was a nameserver conflict with my domain. I didn’t delete the old nameservers and as a result the websites split and cloned each other. So for awhile we had several different versions of the website showing up for different people. THIS one is the correct one, I hope. If not, I will be contacting TowerHost to see what in the heck is up with this thing.

Apologies,
Chris
