CitBingo has requested some help from the community and we’ve decided to pitch in and help by donating prizes. Every week, tourists and citizens will be eligible to win a Blank SWiki Card as a bingo prize. Various users have been complaining that they’re having issues with SWI, which we had tracked down to the session system not maintaining their session. I’m not really sure what the problem is and why it’s happening all of a sudden, but I used this as an excuse to rewrite the sessions system

Due to the recent security vulnerability in the Linux kernel (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=516949) which we have seen being exploited in the wild, our host will be continuing to upgrade kernel version for the SW City server Friday night. This may affect the SW City Website and Forum, the Academy, SW City Interactive, the SWiki, and any images and sounds hosted on SWCity.net. Please note that the current Linux kernel has been patched and as such our server is still secure from any vulnerabilities, this is just a follow-up update on the kernel version. This may require a reboot but the downtime will be very minimal barring any unforeseen circumstances.

A HUD icon for Scarabian User Terminals has been added to the HUD on the bottom-right of the screen for global chat users. In order to access the SUT icon, you must be listed in the #swcity chat channel.
You can do this by saying ^jc #swcity anywhere in Alphaworld.
