Forum Refresh Error Fixed

After a couple of hours of forum tests, SW Chris determined that the mods he installed were not causing the problem (originally we thought it was SuperMod). It turns out it was something with our host; Hasweb. The bug has since been resolved and the forums are back to their regular glory.

You can all finally give your poor F5 buttons a well deserved rest. 😛

New News Script! Yay!

I was sitting here in my dorm room very bored. I thought about SW City and the website. Then I thought of how long ago I installed Newspro onto the webspace and I KNEW that there was something better out there.

After about 5 minutes of searching I came upon a script called PHPNews and had a hell of a time trying to install it. After about 3 hours of failed attempts and even having conversation with the creator, I gave up and went with this script: CuteNews!

It allows so many different things so if you’re interested, browse on over to the CuteNews website and check it out. Probably the most notable difference is comments. O,O Anyway, have fun with it. Its 10x less clunky than Newspro.

Additions to Downloads Page

Added the Universal Teleports List (UTL) and a newer version of RGB Picker because the old seems to be screwed or something.. O_o It also has a neat feature that the other does not. Enjoy…or else! O_O

Masking Galore

I’ve added a list of many new masks to the SW City Builders Academy masking section and got rid of that annoying, stupid drop-down menu with the masks in it. Now you can just view any mask you like as they are all sitting there in a bunch. O_O

If you’d like a visual representation of what some of these masks look like, Ryan has put together quite an impressive collection of pictures of different masks for the AWNewbie website. You can view either list of masks by clicking here for list #1 or clicking here for list #2. They were made for boonies but can sure come in handy for any expert.

I know I promised a new Academy website, but I can’t decide whether to design a whole new website for it or just plop it into one of the SW City Website templates and just change the colours. 😛

The New Demographer in Town

Everyone welcome Ryan as our second city demographer! He will be working on Syntax Estates for his first demographer project. If you see him wandering around the Estates, don’t be afraid to say Hi. Just don’t distract him from his work though, he’s on the SE payroll now. >_< Every 'hi' you say costs me $5.50. X_X

SW City Staff Website Updated

Well, what can I say? The old SW City Staff website sucked! So naturally I updated it to be wicked. I guess it worked because I think it freakin’ rocks so check it out.

Ferruccio was finally added to the staff website (now all the Castle Pines stuff is on the website!) and new pictures 100x better were added, featuring the staff member with one of their builds. I also took the time to get all the teleport coordinates working for every reference to a building in SW City.

Website Updates!

Here is a quick list of what I did on the website:
-District main page updated with a new map dividing up the islands into subcommunities/suburbs.
-“Teleport” buttons added to each district page for the teleport drop-down menu’s opposed to hitting ‘any key’ when you made your teleport choice.
-A Castle Pines profile has been added to the Central District website.

Also, I am going to be refurbishing the SW Builders Academy website this week. I will try to implement it into the current website format and add more content. Lots more pictures as well. O_O
