The Town Square Park imperial palace ruins have been expanded down into the trench below, to the east. The trench was a battle zone between Scarabia and Barsynite raiders back in the day, so there’s a few new trinkets to be had down there

UPDATE: The crew there are now no longer he WORST Archeologists ever! They’ve finally discovered the tunnel leading into the underground ruins, and have hostility taken it over
