SW City Economy Status – Year End (2002)

Recent studies showed some of the events that have affected the SW Economy in the past few months. Here is a chart that has been put together by the SW Economy board to display the events and months that has caused the recent recession.

PG’s most famous build turns 1 year old!

Thats right, folks! The infamous house of boonie turned one year old on January 3rd, 2003! *everyone cheers*

And how fitting, that on the same day, one of my best builds in a long time was started (my currently unnamed office complex). Well, at least *I* think its one of my best builds.

And on the same note, the “special edition” Lincoln Logs, found in most older Loggers Restauraunts, has officially been going on for 2.5 years. Keep it up Loggers!

SW, the clan, is back in business

Well it’s a little weird for me, but SW, as in the clan, is back again and being ran by ex-vice president Nitro-Excell and is being played in Kali. Please welcome Scarab traffic as our forums will be a temporary “staging area” for the people that SW-Nitro-Excell and SW-Mase are rallying. It’s also a bit weird as I’ve said “there will be no more new SWs” in AW. So if you always wanted a legit SW tag in your name, now might be the time.

UPDATE: Also as a part of the Scarab revival, the players are trying to get SeeMePlayMe gaming network to add Scarab to their game network since, according to some, Kali sucks. Email them and request support for Scarab. If your interested in downloading Scarab, ask Nitro on ICQ or check the forums. ICQ – 21098484

SW City in top 700 of Folding@Home

657th place to be exact. May not sound like a big deal but its taken us a few months now to get that far (we started in 3000+ or something lol), and there are tens of thousands of Folders. We won’t be going much farther though without some more members though >_<. So, here's a little list of "why not fold?". 1. Runs in the background and takes up less than 2 MB of RAM at any time.
2. Will only do it’s work when the CPU has spare mhz, such as when your computer is idle.
3. Only needs about 200-300kb of bandwidth total per project (which takes my 1.5 ghz machine 17 hours to do).
4. Download it, install it and forget it =)
5. Last, it’s a charitable act. In a nutshell, the program simulates a protein “folding”, which is does before it carries out it’s purpose in the body. However folding is so complicated that each project only simulates a few nanoseconds of the fold process. So the more computers simulating, the quicker the lab can understand why proteins misfold which causes a hand full of fatal diseases.

Once again, our team number is 11039
