Residency IDs available
SWI now has a new residency ID system in place. When builders have established themselves in building zones, such as Forest Oaks or Rotheran Bay for example, the propery manager now has the ability to authorize them an Residency ID which shows up in user’s SWI profile sheets. Please allow us a few days to retrofit everyone’s accounts for existing builds

Town Square Park Hits 20,000 Visits
Town Square Park, SW City’s ground zero landing place has reached another milestone in the visitors department. The tracker, which has been keeping log since December 18th 2005, officially clocked over the 20,000 visitors mark earlier today.

AWPortals Introduces Web-2-AW Chat
Strike Rapier has introduced a sweet new chat that allows a member of AWPortals.com to chat with people in certain areas within the Active Worlds universe. One of the spots implemented is Town Square Park in SW City, which you can find here. Remember, you have to be logged in to your AWPortals account to be able to chat.

The annual Active Worlds Reunion was held two weeks ago in Denver, Colorado and a few pictures and stories have surfaced for all to read. SW Chris has written four indepth blog entires detailing the adventures the reunioners had and a few have posted pictures at this flickr account.

Back to the Future Refurbishment Complete!
The refurbishment of the Back to the Future square in East Ending is finished. All objects have been directly textured and remote texturing has been turned off. That means that the area now has majorly less lag. If you haven’t been able to get a good view of this CY Award winning masterpiece (if I do say so myself), you should be able to now. Owls Attack!
For the fifteenth day in a row, SW City is besieged by a pack of ravenous, bloodthirsty owls. It is unknown what drove them into such a frenzy, but local philosopher Henry David Thoreau said upon seeing the sight:
“I rejoice that there are ow-OW OW OH GOD PLEASE LET IT STOPAHHHHHHRGHHHHH *gurgle*”
