SW City Historical Documents Updated

Some of you may not know of a text file that exists somewhere in SW Land. This text file holds many of the key moments in SW City’s history. Well, enough about this. The text file is regularily updated by me but I know I am missing some information. I added many new entries tonight, so go give ’em a read. I’ll post a link to the text at the end of this post.

So, if you have any history tidbits that you would like added into the history text that you notice are missing, post them up in the SW Community forum.

Well, if you want, view the SW City Historical Documents. By the way, sorry for the badly written news story here, I am listening to music with headphones and I can’t write worth squat when doing so. 😛

Mars Gets a New Caretaker

Some you may know him from Yeti City. Some of you may not know him at all. Whether you know him or not, Veger has PS in Mars and he is planning to do something with the ever-undisturbed planet.

Mars, which was one of the Public Building worlds released by COF back in 1997, has been much like the real Mars planet for some time now: deserted.

Mars now has move/rotate and 3d-axis rotation thanks to Veger. Tourists are also allowed back in! So if your interested, drop by Mars and test out their new commands on a Mars colony of your own.

Screenshot Websites Added

New to the SW City Website is it’s very own screenshots! ^,^
I figured that there really wasn’t many pictures for visitors to look at and see what SW City is really like (aside from the district pictures I put up) so I decided to do whopper pages for each district (except Ridge, I’ll eventually do it) that has amazing screenshots, captions, ratings and teleport links.

The teleport links are not up, that’s a task for another night but enjoy the screenshots and captions! There will eventually be 1 or 2 more added to each site so if you have any suggestions for a district, post it up on the forum.

As for the ratings, I just did a five star system and did them judged on my own opinion. If there is any rating mistakes you think should be corrected, just make a thread in the SW Community Forum. Thanks and enjoy!

Here is a taste of one of the screenshots. Hyrule! ^,^

Fixed a few Website Problems

There were a few minor errors on the website that I fixed. Not sure how they got there, but the formatting was a bit off. I cleaned those up. The downloads page was totally screwed.. X_X

I also fixed (most) of the links for the desktops on the downloads page which were all still linked to skywalkeronline. If you find anymore errors, send me a PM on the forum or something, seeing as how you can’t telegram. ;_;

Concerning my Expiry

As most of you may know, my citizenship will be expiring tomorrow. I am also leaving back to university tomorrow so I will no be renewing. I rarely go on AW while at university for two reasons: the internet connection sucks and AW doesn’t run well on my laptop.

I am only at university until April so when I get back home then, I will be renewing. I will return, don’t worry. 🙂 I’ll be back sometime in April but I’ll still be on the forum and everything. I’ll still have AW as well, which I can login to as a tourist. My main hangout place will probably by my mansion, SWGZ or LPI. So if your in the area, drop by and I may be there. Thanks, I’ll see you all soon!

SWCity Forum

The forum has been upgraded with several mods that should make things easier and more cleaner to use. So have fun. 🙂

SW City Newsletter

SW City has a newsletter that comes out every month or two. You can view previous releases by selecting the newsletter tab on the nav bar. If you want to contribute to the November-December issue of the newsletter, please e-mail your submission to me by clicking here.

If you want to subscribe, e-mail me or telegram me, SW Chris, in Active Worlds. Doing so will let you read the newsletter when it is sent out, instead of whenever the newsletter page gets updated (which is usually five or six weeks after release).

The Real World

Seems like Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary is ruffling a few feathers of McDonald’s.

Since we all wonder what 10 billion pennies would look like, I thought I’d post this

A miss beauty contest for geeks ^_^ Introducing the Miss Digital World beauty contest. I wonder if MsTourist will be there?

I love high tech gadgets. I wouldn’t mind having a cell phone wristwatch.

Oops! Microsoft screwed up again.

Here’s an update on the next-gen DVD standard – BluRay.
