Teleport Script

Big thanks to Joeman who responded my call for a new teleport script in the newsgroups. AWI can’t even replace their damn files when the fool around with their web crap.

New teleport script:
swcity.net/tport.php?[coords]

Old teleport script:
objects.activeworlds.com/cgi-bin/teleport.cgi?[coords]

Talk about trimming the fat.. 😛

Major Website Overhaul

Bear with me, this is the first stage of the SWCity.net website overhaul. >,< A lot of the old pages are blank and will be gradually updated as I put them into the current format. You should also notice that there will be a few new sections on the site as well which should be interesting. Some old sections, in turn, have been deleted because they were obsolete.. for example Ridge District and Jobs. A big plus to this new format = the website assets organization system. The old one sucked. >,< I'll be able to update the navbar and stuff with ease this time as well because I saved an editable copy (unlike last time >,<). I should slowly start getting websites up in bunches and getting everything back to operational speeds. After everything here is up, I gotta change the forum template. :P It’s about time this place was revamped a bit.. I never gave it a major overhaul since September 2001, believe it or not. O_o

New SW City Government

Yesterday’s meeting was the announcement of SW City’s new government structure. Actually not much has changed – we basically documented the government around the way things were already running 😛

The details can be found here.

Press Release: Eastern Ferry Co. Launches

A new ferry company by the name of Eastern Ferry Co. has launched it’s system today in SW City. The new routes which trace all over the Irenic Ocean will only service major ports.

“Our state-of-the-art vessel’s do not use any fossil fuels to run. Instead they take pollution that is in the Irenic Ocean already and convert it into energy using a highly advanced power converter developed by MAD Corp,” said Syntax, mayor of SW City and co-founder of Eastern Ferry Co. at a press conference in City Hall. “This is a step in the right direction for a cleaner, healthier ocean.”

The ferry route, which is shown in the map below, service to SW, Velothi and Sybit Islands. Only major ports were included to reduce initial and operating costs.

The mayor also stated that the ferry would be offered to SW citizens free of charge, much like the government-owned subway system. Although the system is not fully operational at the moment (Sybit Seaport docks construction delayed due to an on-site accident) the rest of the ports are fully functional and ready for use.
