Happy New Year
Zelená Islands Quickly Expanding
While many of the other SW Staff members are living out their MMORPG dreams, one not-so-staff member has been working diligently on creating a very unique and incredibly attractive island in the most northern part of the Irenic Ocean. Baro, the resident lego block, has been on a tear creating the Zelená Islands and along with it, many other lore-based characters and such have surfaced. SW City Interactive players can also look around the islands for some possible questing. Teleport to the Zelená Islands
Moonlight Heights Joins the Republic
The Scarabian Republic family would like to extend a warm welcome to it’s newest member: Moonlight Heights! As for any town joining in, the Moonlight Heights board is now online for you to read-up on and discuss all things Moonlight-y. Everyone in the Republic hopes this will be a long and prosperous relationship that will continue for years to come. Congrats, and welcome aboard!
Yellowstone Building Contest
Yellowstone World has just recently released its brand new world to the public, which is complete with a new GZ, terrain, objects and a whole bunch of other cool features. To celebrate the release, Digigurl is hosting a building contest which will be running up until December 15th. In order to compete, you must telegram Digigurl to reserve your lot. Prizes include:
- 1st Place: P40/15 World, good for 6 months + a PAV from AW_PAV world.
- 2nd Place: 6 month citizenship extension + a PAV from AW_PAV world.
Buildings that rank a 4 or 5 will also receive V4 rights in Alphaworld. Teleport to Yellowstone
Winter Has Arrived in SW City
The first snowfall of the season has arrived! :/ Governor’s SW Chris and SW Comit took time out of their busy political schedule to head down to Town Square Park and hang up some old Christmas decorations as well. Just regular ol’ St. Nick’s them. Head on down to Town Square Park and check out what’s new.. I think it’s still snowing! :O
Joshua pops into staff
After months of hard work in his viceroy in the middle of the Irenic – which is, to quote Syntax, “like a mini SW City out there” – Joshua has joined the SW City Management team, bringing with him the Sequini Isles precinct.
I promoted him because I see a lot of promise in this little boonie – kinda reminds me of back when I was working hard on my own viceroy in the middle of that same ocean – and his months of hard work in building up the islands. Sequini Isles is now the third precinct in Shores District, joining Hyper Anthony’s Southern Highlands and my own Eastern Shores. He’s got a lot of talent and potential and I want you all to warmly welcome him.
There will be a Grand Opening precinct party soon, so stay tuned for those details. Congrats, Joshua! SEQUINI ISLES – aw 2421S 4654E
SWiki Updated
The SW City Wiki has been updated with a new theme, the first major upgrade to the site since it was created back in 2005. There are still a few things to be done to it, but it is complete for the most part.
AWE Build 82 Released
Alphaworld Enhanced 2.0.082 is now available. Gestures are now sync’d with the world, though the additional gestures were removed for now. Texture zwall1 was also enhanced. You can download it here.
AWExpo
The AW Expo is this weekend in AWExpo world! Check out SW City’s booth plz.
AW Launches Facebook App
Apparently AWI has launched a new app on the popular social networking site Facebook by using an ActiveX control, as mentioned in this press release. You can see it in action here. Interesting! I wonder if AW will start having more than 100 people online at a time now if catches on?
