Fire hits SW City – arson or accident?
Gutz’ Isle, now nick-named Burning Isle, erupted in flames tonight. Reports say it was arson starting in some dry trees. Some eye witness reports say they saw Syntax start the fire, others say it was a missile attack from Yeti City, and a few still blame it on the heat caused by the after-effects of the destruction of Vortech Industries. One odd fellow openly admitted to causing the fire, showing authorities the used flame thrower and explaining how he did, and even showing printed photos of him in the act, but it was discarded due to laziness.

In other news, 18 Nimbusians were brutally murdered in a back alley.
More tripod attacks
It was recently discovered that a large amount of midis from the sw_city3 server were deleted without warning and for no apparent reason. Unfortunately none of these midis were backed up. However, if your AW browser has no download cache limits, you may have it laying around in your computer.
If you find a dead midi under sw_city3, post it in this thread, and maybe someone will have it in there cache.

Rubicon River started
As part of the Planetary River Network (I think that’s what it was called, lol), Rubicon River, the second river of this project with Vishara’s River being first, has begun to make its way throughout AW. It’s primary route will be east and probably stopping around 8000e, and might make its way down to Horizon City.
There are no plans to end this river into a water body, like Vishara’s did, and will be added to as time goes on.
UPDATE: The river is being renamed. Click here to vote for the new name: Vote

SW Forum back online!
As Chris stated, the server was down for a while. But now it’s back up, with a whole new forum!
Our SW City Forum has been upgraded to YaBBSE, an excellent piece of software which includes the option to create polls and stuff. There is even a calendar! (yay)
So check it out, the forum is back online @ http://forum.swcity.net. Thanks for being so patient!
You may have noticed…
…that we have disappeared from the face of the planet for the last few days. Our forum was slowing the server down so my host had to yank us until we could upgrade to a less… ubiquitous resource-hogging forum. All the messages are still there, and Syntax is working hard to get the bugs and kinked worked out. You may want to wait a day or two before you start posting, but at least the website is active now. 🙂
Cheers, and apologies,
Chris
